Ranbir Kapoor on his relationship with Alia: I am not playing hide-and-seek

Ranbir Kapoor’s confession about seeing Alia Bhatt in an interview with GQ India had broken hearts of many girls across the country. Though he was earlier hesitant to open up about his relationship with Miss Bhatt considering it was ‘new’ at that point of time, the Kapoor lad no longer has qualms talking about the same.

During a recent interaction with Hindustan Times, Ranbir opened up about his equation with Alia saying, “Honestly, I am not playing hide-and-seek. I am in a happy, positive and beautiful phase of my life. Surely, there is always an excitement to know about someone’s personal life. But you want to give the relationship respect so that people don’t malign it in a gossipy way. It is something beautiful, sacred and really important to you, so you want to deal with it in a nice manner.”

Expressing the desire to make a great cinematic jodi with his ladylove Alia, Ranbir said, “I really hope that I have the opportunity in ‘Brahmastra’ to make a great cinematic couple with Alia and do good work with her because here is an actor who can add a lot to you [as an artist].”

Coming to their first-ever film together, ‘Brahmastra’, it is being directed by Ranbir’s close friend Ayan Mukerji. Besides Ranbir and Alia, the super-hero fantasy film also features Amitabh Bachchan, television actress Mouni Roy, Dimple Kapadia and south superstar Nagarjuna.

Produced by Karan Johar, ‘Brahmastra’ is slated to release on Independence Day in 2019.
