Ranbir Kapoor, who is gearing up for his much-awaited film ‘Sanju’ had set the stage on fire at the IIFA 2018. The actor made a grand entry while standing on an aerial podium playing the ‘Sadda Haq’ tune on the guitar.
His fans in the audience could not take their eyes off and stood while the aerial podium led the charming Kapoor to the stage. Before his performance, Ranbir Kapoor with father Rishi Kapoor also received an award on behalf of Shashi Kapoor for his contribution to Indian cinema.
In a recent media interaction, Ranbir Kapoor was asked how he felt while portraying various phases of Sanjay’s life, Ranbir said, “When I was a child, I had a poster of Sanju sir on the wall of my cupboard, and through this film, I am in his shoes. I think in my life, I really want Sanju sir to like me.
“I know I never can be the man he is, but in whichever way that I go about in my career as a person and even through this film, I really want Sanju sir to like me because I feel that he is man that I respect a lot and I really look up to him. I hope that he feels that I have represented his life in very honest and improved way,” Ranbir Kapoor added.
‘Sanju’ is produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and is directed by Rajkumar Hirani. The film is releasing on June 29. Apart from Ranbir Kapoor, the film also features Sonam Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Anushka Sharma, Dia Mirza and Vicky Kaushal in lead roles.
