April 13: Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt to get engaged 43 years after Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor’s engagement

Baisakhi holds a special meaning for the Kapoors as Neetu Singh and Rishi Kapoor got engaged on 13th April 1979, 43 years ago and looks like Ranbir Kapoor will be repeating history as he will also be getting engaged to Alia Bhatt on Baisakhi this year which is April 14, 2022. Now if this is the play of fate! Neetu Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor had the most dreamy love story and the actress took a trip down memory lane with a throwback picture.

Neetu dig out an old picture of her engagement day and it was pure bliss. Sharing the picture on her Instagram account, she wrote, “Fond memories of baisakhi day ? as we got engaged 43 years back on 13th April 1979 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️(sic)”

Well, after 43 years the fans will be blessed with an engagement pic of Neetu and Rishi’s son Ranbir with his lady love Alia and it will be just and as serene.

Talking about Neetu and Rishi Kapoor’s love story, the duo did not hit it off from the get-go. Rishi was quite the prankster and would often pick on Neetu on sets. It was a true blue filmy romance that only got deeper with time. Neetu and Rishi got engaged on April 13, 1979, and they were finally hitched later on.

Talking about Alia and Ranbir, most say that Alia has definitely manifested the love of her life and she was often heard saying that she will marry Kapoor. Well, it is finally happening, on Baisakhi this year, the Brahmastra stars will be engaged and married on April 15. The guests have begun to arrive at Ranbir’s home today for the wedding festivities.
