Alia Bhatt took to social media just a while ago to share the big news of her pregnancy with her fans across the globe and everyone has been beaming with excitement and happiness over this new development.

Sharing a picture of her and Ranbir looking at their unborn kid in the sonography, followed by a picture of a family of lions, Alia Bhatt made the news of her pregnancy official. Soon after, congratulations started pouring in for the couple. Amongst all the wishes the most heartwarming ones have to be from nani Soni Razdan and bua Riddhima Kapoor Sahni.

Riddhima took to the comments section of Alia’s post and was all hearts and kisses. She even shared a picture of the expecting couple on her Instagram stories and wrote, “My babies are having a baby. I love you both so much @aliaabhatt #ranbirkapoor (sic)”. 

The proud and elated nani Soni Razdan was also all love for her daughter and son-in-law as she congratulated them saying, “Congratulations Mama and Papa lion (sic)”.

Nana Mahesh Bhatt is also over the moon with the news and he spoke to ETimes to share his excitement. “Ah, my baby is going to have a baby! I am so happy for Ranbir and Alia. May our ‘tribe’ increase. And now I have to prepare for the most important role of my life: The role of a Grandfather. This is going to be a grand debut,” he said excitedly.

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt met and fell in love during the shoot of their first film together, Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra. The two had been dating and going strong for a while before they took the plunge into marriage earlier this year in April. The couple had always been vocal and expressive about their love for each other and they even shared the excitement of this new addition in their life with the world.
