Brahmastra stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt recently headed to Ujjain along with the director of the film, Ayan Mukerji to seek blessings ahead of the release. Only yesterday, Alia shared a video on her Instagram account mentioning that they will be visiting Ujjain’s Mahakaleshwar temple. However, the trio faced a roadblock when Ranbir and Alia were stopped from entering the temple due to the latter’s old comment on beef.
Well, back in 2011, Ranbir had said that he is a big beef lover. The protestors found his old interview and used it as an opportunity to stop the couple from entering the temple. A video of the riot went viral on social media where the crowd gathered around Ranbir and Alia’s car and the moment they entered the venue, people started chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’.
Amidst all the chaos, Brahmastra director Ayan shared a picture on his Instagram where he is seen seeking blessing from the Mahakal. This indicates that Ayan visited the temple alone as Alia and Ranbir were stopped from entering the place.

Sharing the picture, Ayan said, “3 DAYS AWAY… Feel very happy and energised to have visited Mahakaleshwar Temple today… Got the most beautiful darshan… Wanted to make this visit to close the film-making journey on Brahmāstra, and to get all the positive energy and blessings for our Release.”
