Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif starrer film ‘Jagga Jasoos’ has been in the news for its prolonged delay. The film produced by Ranbir Kapoor and directed by Anurag Basu has been in the making for more than two years now. This delay has surely scared the producer with Ranbir saying that he’ll be ruined if the film didn’t release, but the director Anurag Basu says that he is on schedule and has no regrets with the film getting delayed.
In a recent interview, Anurag Basu explained why the making of ‘Jagga Jasoos’ has been stretched for so long. Ranbir Kapoor, who is the producer as well as the hero of the film had committed to his other films like ‘Bombay Velvet’ and ‘Tamasha’ even before he took up ‘Jagga Jasoos.’ Being a professional actor, Ranbir knows when his films should start and end, says the director. “ He’s very clear and committed to his films and when they should start and be completed. I am on schedule and no regrets whatsoever” praises the director. Further, he clarified, “The reason almost 50 per cent of the shooting has been left for the last schedule is because I didn’t want the film to look dated.”
Talking about the re-shooting of several scenes of ‘Jagga Jasoos,’ Anurag Basu said that re-shooting of scenes is nothing new to him and he has just re-shot five days because there was a gap of almost seven months between the first and the second schedule of the shoot. Those five days looked stale to him, said the director.
Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif will once again start shooting for ‘Jagga Jasoos’ in January next year.
