Ranbir Kapoor apologises for ‘phailoed’ comment on pregnant wife Alia Bhatt: I have a bad sense of humour

Ranbir Kapoor is one of the most loved stars of Bollywood. Ranbir Kapoor recently landed in controversy after he made a comment that his pregnant wife Alia Bhatt has ‘phailoed’. For the uninitiated, Ranbir Kapoor had made the ‘phailoed’ comment on Alia Bhatt during Brahmastra promotions. Ranbir Kapoor’s comment on wife Alia Bhatt didn’t go down well with netizens. The actor was trolled for it. Now, Ranbir was asked about his ‘phailoed’ comment and he apologised for the same.

During a recent media interaction, Ranbir said, “Firstly, let me start with, I love my wife with everything that I have in my life. And what happened on that, I think it’s a joke that didn’t turned out to be funny. I really want to apologize if I have triggered anyone. It was not my intention.”

The actor added, “So I want to say sorry to people who got offended or triggered. I spoke to Alia about it and she really laughed it off and she didn’t mind it. But I do have a bad sense of humour and sometimes it falls flat on my own face. So I am sorry if I have hurt anyone about it.”

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are expecting their first child. Alia announced her pregnancy in June. The actress had shared a photo with Ranbir and captioned it, “Our baby… coming soon.” The couple tied the knot in April in the presence of their close friends and family members.

On the work front, Alia and Ranbir will be seen sharing screen space in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra. Brahmastra also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy in key roles. It is slated to release in September this year. Apart from this, Ranbir and Alia have interesting projects in the pipeline.

Alia will be seen in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani with Ranveer Singh. It also stars Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi. Alia also has her Hollywood debut film Heart of Stone. It also stars Gal Gadot, Jamie Dornan, Sophie Okonedo and Matthias Schweighofer.

Ranbir, on the other hand, has Animal and Luv Ranjan’s next.
