Even though his films don’t score well at the box office, Ranbir Kapoor is still the heartthrob of Bollywood. His latest film ‘Tamasha’ with Deepika Padukone barely managed to do an average business at the box office, but the star has no qualms about it. And why would he worry about the box-office collection? She has done his job and has pocketed a good money for it. Whooping 38 crores was the fees charged by ‘Burfi!’ actor for ‘Tamasha.’
Talking about the budget of the film, Imtiaz Ali spent approximately 75 crores in the making of the film out of which 38 crores is supposedly the actor’s fees. The 10-day box-office collection of the film suggests that ‘Tamasha’ has barely managed to earn 62 crores, which is way less than the money spent on the making of this film. Though the critics gave a good review to the film and a positive word of mouth from the audiences too was observe, the film tanked at the box-office. Ranbir’s earlier films like ‘Besharam’, ‘Roy’ and ‘Bombay Velvet’ too were a disaster on the silver screen, but this doesn’t seem to have any effect on the market value of the star. Though there’s no confirmation on this a source revealed that he was paid a whooping 38 crores  for ‘Tamasha.’  This amount came into limelight only when the IT authorities raided the company who manages Ranbir Kapoor.
On the work front, Deepika Padukone is busy promoting her next film ‘Bajirao Mastani’ with Ranveer Singh and Ranbir is gearing up for his Karan Johar’s directorial ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.’
