Ranbir Kapoor compares his Shamshera co-star Sanjay Dutt to THIS Marvel character

Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt are currently gearing up for the release of their upcoming movie titled Shamshera. The film also stars Vaani Kapoor and is directed by Karan Malhotra. Ahead of the release of Shamshera, the cast of the movie has been busy promoting it in full swing. During the promotions of Shamshera, Ranbir Kapoor spoke about Sanjay Dutt and compared him to a Marvel character.

At the event of Shamshera, Ranbir called his co-star ‘Thanos of India’. He recalled the time when he started his career and how Sanjay Dutt motivated him. During the event, the actor spoke about Dutt’s character in Shamshera, where the actor is playing a villain. Kapoor shared, “When you have a villain like him in the film – he’s like the Thanos of India – as an actor it is an occupational hazard for you.”

He added, “You have to build your body at least a little bit, because I have to stand up against him.” He added,”Aaj kal actors ko actor nahi – actor aur athlete banna padta hai. It has become so challenging now.”

Meanwhile, when asked about what he loves about Dutt, Ranbir said, “Ek hota hai love, but I’m obsessed with Sanjay Dutt.” The actor continued to speak about his fondness for Sanjay Dutt. He even shared how while growing up he had two posters of Dutt in his bedroom.

Talking about Shamshera, the movie is scheduled to release in theatres on July 22.

Work-wise, Dutt was last seen in the film KGF: Chapter 2 which was a commercial success and Prithviraj starring Akshay Kumar too. He is to star in Shamshera next. Ranbir, on the other hand, has the film Brahmastra, directed by Ayan Mukerji, apart from Shamshera. He even has the film Animal with Rashmika Mandanna.
