Ranbir Kapoor gives deets about his character Shiva in Brahmastra

Ranbir Kapoor has been busy with his upcoming movie Brahmastra. It’s been a long that the movie is in the making. And the audience is eagerly waiting for it to release. Brahmastra is scheduled to release in September, this year and it was only recently that the makers released the motion poster of the movie. They even introduced the character played by Ranbir Kapoor in Brahmastra. In an interview, Ranbir has opened up about his character in the upcoming movie.

The Brahmastra actor spoke about playing the role of Shiva in the upcoming movie. News18 reported that Ranbir shared details about his Brahmastra character during a press conference. The actor mentioned that Shiva is a DJ in the movie. Ranbir revealed that he will play a young man, Shiva, who is a DJ, born with certain powers. He further shared that Shiva was born with certain powers and a mystery that connects him to fire.

Ranbir Kapoor said, “Brahmastra is a film that we have been making for the last five years now. It is an action-adventure film about a young man Shiva (his character), a DJ, who was born with certain powers and a mystery that connects him to fire.”

Sharing details about his character and that of his girlfriend, actor Alia Bhatt’s in the movie, Ranbir added, “He (Shiva) meets Isha (Alia Bhatt) and falls in love with her. The film is about their journey and finally something that leads Shiva to his destiny which is the Brahmastra.”

Talking about Shiva having powers connected to fire, the motion poster of the movie gave a glimpse of it. The motion poster shows Kapoor holding the Trishul with fire.

Meanwhile, Brahmastra also features Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Dimple Kapadia, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy. The movie is scheduled to release in theatres on September 9.
