Ranbir Kapoor, who is all set to rule the box office with his upcoming film ‘Sanju’, recently spoke about his obsession with nicotine and why is it so difficult for him to give it up.
In the same interview, the actor also revealed that he had to take treatments in Austria to get rid of his addictions. He told GQ magazine, “I quit smoking for four months, then started rolling cigarettes again just last month – just one or two a day. It’s something I’m scared of because I’ve been a nicotine addict since I was 15, and it’s the worst kind of addiction. It’s taken me trips to Austria, to this doctor who gave me injections in my ears, to help me quit smoking the first time, because I don’t think I have the willpower to give it up on my own. But vaping isn’t working for me either – you can’t leave one habit for another. Eventually it’ll just come back more ferociously.” (Also Read: OMG! This surely highlights the common aspect between Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt, in who’s biopic the former is featuring as a lead. They both were addicted to drugs and nicotine at quite an early stage.
Written and directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the film will also stars an ensemble cast in addition to Ranbir Kapoor which includes Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Vicky Kaushal, Sonam Kapoor and Dia Mirza amongst others.
Produced by Vinod Chopra Films and Rajkumar Hirani Films in association with Fox Star Studios. ‘Sanju’ is all set to be released on 29th June 2018.
