Though Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif never spoke about their relationship officially, it was evident that the two were dating each other. However, last year, the two broke up, but continued to be thorough professionals and promoted their movie ‘Jagga Jasoos’ together. Well, Ranbir is currently single, and recently while talking to a leading daily, the actor spoke about what he expects from a girl, and his plans of dating.
While talking about what he expects in a girlfriend, the actor said, “There are varying degrees of what you expect (from a person). As you grow older, you understand more about life, and how much you have to give (back) in a relationship. What I was like while dating a girl in school, and what I am now, and what I will be to my girlfriend later or my wife will be very different. There is no way to measure it. But there is a different sense of evolvement so far as love in my life is concerned.” [sic]
When Ranbir was questioned if he goes on dates outside the industry, he said, “Unfortunately, I don’t. I’m so obsessed with my films, my life at the movies, and working through the year, that I don’t really get to meet people unless I travel, or it’s a chance encounter. Usually, the only people you get to meet are from the (film) industry. And mostly you interact with actresses. I’m not saying that’s a bad thing. Film people are amazing, but I’d like to, you know, go on a date…” (Also Read: Ranbir Kapoor opens about nepotism in the industry)
However, the actor feels that it will be hard for the person to date him. He said, “I think it’ll be hard for that person though, because of the kind of lives we live. There’ll be a lot of insecurities. But if you meet somebody who’s sorted, and if you’re yourself sorted.”
The 34-year-old actor stated that he has not yet reached a level where he needs to be a part of the dating app Tinder. Ranbir said, “It’s not a bad thing to be on Tinder. Tinder is doing good to people — it’s getting them together. But I’m happy falling in love with my own company. I’ve always been like that. I don’t mind travelling, having breakfast, lunch, dinner, alone. Sure, being with someone is amazing. There is nothing more beautiful than that. But being alone is something I also enjoy very much.”
The actor is currently busy garnering praises for his performance in the recently released flick ‘Jagga Jasoos’.
‘Eat Sleep Bollywood Repeat’ is his life Mantra. Dance is his first love and Rani Mukerji is his eternal crush. He is someone who loves being himself, and as for the ones who don’t agree, his reply? “Talk to my hand!”
