Animal actor Ranbir Kapoor was summoned by the Enforcement Directorate on 4th October. The reason for the same is claimed to be his involvement in a betting app. He has to appear before the ED’s office in Raipur on October 6. The ED has claimed that he was given a large amount of money in exchange, which was from the proceeds of a crime. As per recent development in the case, it is stated that Ranbir Kapoor will not appear as an accused in the betting case.
Details about the summon issued by ED to Ranbir Kapoor
If reports are to be believed, the actor is under scanner but not as an accused. He will be questioned about the source of transactions for the promotion of the app. A source cited by a portal stated, “Ranbir Kapoor has been summoned to understand the betting business transactions. At this point, he has not been summoned as accused. His questioning is important to know his knowledge about the money sources he received. It will possibly indicate the plans of the promoters and their association” The source added, “Ranbir Kapoor may not be part of the conspiracy but very important to understand the scam”.

Apart from Ranbir, around 14-15 other celebrities are under the ED’s scanner in the betting case. Some of them are, Tiger Shroff, Sunny Leone, Kriti Kharbanda, Nushrratt Bharucchha, Krushna Abhishek, Elli AvrRam, Atif Aslam, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Ali Asgar, Vishal Dadlani, Neha Kakkar, Bharti Singh, Bhagyashree and Pulkit Samrat.

On the work front, the actor is currently grabbing headlines for his upcoming film Animal. The fil starring Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol is set to release on 1st December 2023.
