Ranbir Kapoor at ‘Sanju’ Teaser launch: “The best part was the ‘Munna Bhai’ phase”

Finally the much-awaited teaser of ‘Sanju’ is out. The reaction to the Ranbir Kapoor starrer biopic on the life of Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt has left his fans in a state of aww. The ‘Tamasha’ star has nailed the look not only with his body transformation but  also with Sanjay Dutt’s style of walking and talking. The transformation is so amazing that we feel that it is Sanjay Dutt and not Ranbir Kapoor acting onscreen.

During the teaser launch Ranbir Kapoor opened up on many unknown facts about Sanjay Dutt’s traits.

He said, “I was shocked by his story. I knew him as a family friend, he treated me as a brother. But when I heard about what he went through, the controversies with the gun, the passing away of his mother, his equations with all the girls, I was shocked.”(Also Read: This video proves that Ranbir Kapoor will always be a crowd puller)

He added, “The most difficult part was playing the young Sanjay Dutt. How he struggled and dealt with drug addiction, how he dealt with his mother passing away and everything else was very hard. The best part was the ‘Munna Bhai’ phase.”

He further revealed that he has always been a Sanjay Dutt fan and to be a part of his idols biopic was truly an epic moment for him.

‘Sanju’ also stars Anushka Sharma, Jim Sarbh, Paresh Rawal, Sonam Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Karishma Tanna, Vicky Kaushal and Manisha Koirala. It will be releasing on June 28, 2018.
