Did you know that Ranbir Kapoor had starred in a short film named Karma that was Oscar-nominated? The movie was directed by Abhay Chopra, the grandson of veteran filmmaker BR Chopra. This was the Tamasha actor’s first short film and the plot revolved around the line of capital punishment in India. Now, Karma has been selected to be screened at the Bandra Film Festival’s (BFF) YouTube Channel.
Apart from Ranbir, the movie also stars Sharat Saxena and Milind Joshi. It has released on Wednesday. Karma had first released in the year 2004 and it has bagged a nomination at the Student Oscars. The movie was filmed when Ranbir and Abhay were film school students and even before Ranbir had made his debut on Bollywood with Sonam Kapoor in Saawariya (2007).
Karma runs for 30 mins long and it shows the gut-wrenching relationship between a father and son. It shows the dilemma of a jailer who has to perform the execution of his own son.

Meanwhile, Ranbir recently recovered from Covid-19 and he will be seen next in Brahmastra that also stars Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan. Apart from that he also has Shershah.
