Two years back, Rishi Kapoor had shared on his Twitter handle that he is flying to New York for a regular check-up and that with he will be back after taking care of his body’s wear and tear. Bollywood Bubble was the first one to tell you that the veteran actor was actually diagnosed with cancer. The actor’s family though had refrained from revealing about the diagnosis back then but it certainly took a toll on them.

Later, Neetu Kapoor in an interview with Times Now had opened up about how she and her son Ranbir dealt with Rishi’s diagnosis and the whole treatment.

Rishi’s health had become the cause of concern in the entire Kapoor household. However, his wife Neetu Kapoor Singh became his pillar of strength and stood like a rock beside him throughout his treatment. Speaking to Times Now, sharing her reaction, Neetu had said, “My first reaction was, obviously very bad, I was devastated, my kids were devastated. We didn’t know what to do. But then we thought to ourselves that this is it, we have to deal with it. Where he (Rishi) is concerned, he was in denial. For 4-5 months, he was not himself. I think when you start accepting that this is your issue, then you are stronger. I feel he is much stronger for the past, maybe 5-6 months.
