Ranbir Kapoor recalls his reaction when he saw Alia Bhatt starrer Highway: Ye toh Amitabh Bachchan nikli

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are one of the most loved couples in Bollywood. They are two talented and successful stars of Bollywood. Ranbir and Alia will be seen together in Brahmastra. During recent Instagram live session, Ranbir revealed that his wife and Brahmastra co-star Alia had left him impressed with her performance in Highway.

It happened when a fan asked Ranbir to open up about his experience of working with Ayan and Alia. The actor then recalled Alia’s performance in Highway and said, “When I saw Highway and all, I came to Ayan’s house only. I was like ‘ye toh Amitabh Bachchan nikli’”.

Ranbir added, “And in her second film. Lekin abhi biwi ke bare mein aise acchi acchi chijein bolunga toh bolenge ‘haan haan’.”

Ranbir and Alia tied the knot in April this year. The couple’s wedding took place in the presence of their close friends and family members. The couple is expecting their first child. Alia announced her pregnancy in June by sharing a picture of herself with Ranbir and wrote, “Our Baby…. Coming soon.”

Talking about Brahmastra, Ranbir and Alia starrer is the first in a three-part mythological saga. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, Brahmastra also stars Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy. Shah Rukh Khan will reportedly make a cameo appearance in the film. Brahmastra is slated to release in September this year.

Apart from Brahmastra, Alia and Ranbir have interesting projects in the pipeline. Ranbir is currently busy promoting his film Shamshera which also stars Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt. Ranbir also has Luv Ranjan’s next.

Talking about Alia, she is all set to make her Hollywood debut with Heart of Stone which also stars Gal Gadot, Jamie Dornan, Matthias Schweighofer and Sophie Okonedo. The actress also has Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani with Ranveer Singh, Jaya Bachchan, Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi.
