Ranbir Kapoor reveals his ‘biggest insecurity’ as a parent: I would be 60 when my kids are 20

Ranbir Kapoor, who has welcomed his first child with wife Alia Bhatt, daughter Raha Kapoor revealed his biggest insecurity as a parent. The actor spoke at length at the Red Sea Film Festival. He said he would be 60 years of age when his kids will be 20 or 21. Ranbir Kapoor also shared how Alia Bhatt and he plan on managing parental duties amidst busy work schedules.

In a video shared by Brut on Instagram, the Brahmastra actor was asked about what has changed for him after becoming a father to daughter Raha Kapoor. He said, “I am wondering why did I take so long. I should have become a father earlier.”

Ranbir then shared what his biggest insecurity is as a parent. The actor said, “My biggest insecurity is, when my children are, like, 20 and 21, I’ll be like 60. Will I be, like, able to play football with them? Will I be able to run with them?” He further added that it’s definitely a joy that he has never experienced.

Speaking further, Kapoor shared how he feels it is an ‘exciting time’ for him. Opening up on the same, the actor said, “We have been together as boyfriend-girlfriend a couple of years back, then husband and wife. I was just telling her that you know the words ‘I have a daughter’ has not hit me yet. I have not said this enough. In interviews, I may be saying it but every time I say ‘daughter’, I go ‘Woah, what is this? I have stars in my brain.”

Ranbir also shared how Alia and he plan on managing parental duties, with daughter Raha in their life now. Kapoor shared, “I don’t work a lot, about 180-200 days. She does a lot more work and is way more busy. But we will balance it out. Maybe I’ll take a break when she’s working, or she can, when I am out for work.”

Meanwhile, at the Red Sea Film Festival, the actor even showed everyone how to pronounce his daughter’s name. Alia Bhatt had announced their daughter’s name via a post on Instagram. The actress had even explained the different meanings behind Raha’s name.

Work-wise, Ranbir was last seen in the hit movie Brahmastra alongside his wife Alia Bhatt. The actor has Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s movie Animal and Luv Ranjan’s film co-starring Shraddha Kapoor.
