Late Rishi Kapoor’s last film Sharmaji Namkeen is all set to release tomorrow, March 31 and a movie screening was held recently where his son and actor Ranbir Kapoor was seen attending the same. However, during an interview with NDTV, Ranbir mentioned that it used to pain Rishi ji for not being able to finish the shoot of the film. That’s not it, Kapoor mentioned that it disturbed the late veteran actor for starting it but not completing it.
“It used to pain him, it used to disturb him that he started a film and he could not complete it,” said Ranbir Kapoor to the publication, ahead of Sharmaji Namkeen’s release. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Farhan Akhtar opened up about his fondest memories with Rishi Kapoor. The Sharmaji Namkeen producer recalled a sweet memory of his inflight conversation with Rishi Ji.
Farhan Akhtar who is producing the film told Bollywood Bubble, “I have got so many memories of him, from the time I was a kid. And then, of course, we worked together on Luck By Chance. And apart from that, I would love bumping into him, whenever I went out.”

Akhtar further shared, “He (Rishi Kapoor) was just filled with life. He was just filled with like stories. He would make you laugh. And he was very insightful, as well. I was once back on a flight from Delhi to Mumbai and we just happened to be sitting next to each other.”
Meanwhile, Sharmaji Namkeen is played by Rishi Kapoor as well as Paresh Rawal. It also stars Juhi Chawla in the key roles. The film is set to release on March 31 on Amazon Prime Video.
