Alia Bhatt is a self-confessed Ranbir Kapoor fan and has expressed her desire to work with the star. There were also news of Ranbir recommending Imtiaz Ali to cast Alia opposite him, but Imtiaz cast Alia in ‘Highway’ instead.

Now Producer Karan Johar has confirmed on a social networking website Twitter that Ranbir will be paired opposite Alia Bhatt in Ayan Mukherjee’s next directorial venture with Dharma Productions.
