Ranbir Kapoor says ‘bahut badi acting performance nahi thi’ after he bagged an award for Brahmastra

Actor Ranbir Kapoor who recently attended an event for his upcoming movie, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar bagged the Best Actor Award at Dadasaheb Phalke for his performance in Brahmastra. However, the actor felt that he is not deserving enough to get an award. During the event, Ranbir was seen in a playful mood and giving sassy answers to the media.

Ranbir Kapoor’s reaction to winning award:

Ranbir was asked about his reaction to winning the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award. To which, the Shamshera actor said, “I am very grateful for the honour. I don’t think I fully deserve it for Brahmastra. Voh bahut badi kuch acting performance nahi thi (It wasn’t some great acting performance).” Nevertheless, in the same event, he said that the performances that impacted him were Allu Arjun in Pushpa, Alia Bhatt in Gangubai Kathiawadi and SS Rajamouli’s directorial venture RRR.

Meanwhile, his actor wife Alia Bhatt bagged the Best Actress Award for her performance in Gangubai Kathiawadi whereas RRR took away the Film of the Year award.

During the same event, Kapoor was asked about the low phase of Bollywood, and he quickly spoke about Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan. “Kya baat kar rahi hai? Pathaan ki collection dekhi nahi? (What are you saying? Have you not seen Pathaan’s collection)?” Ranbir said.

On the professional front, Ranbir Kapoor is busy basking in praises for his role in Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. The actor will be teaming up with Shraddha Kapoor for the first time, and people already love the crackling chemistry.

Moreover, he is also teaming up with Luv Ranjan for the first time. He also has Animal with Sandeep Reddy Vanga where he will be seen opposite Rashmika Mandanna.
