Ranbir Kapoor says making Brahmastra was a long journey: Our romance started with this film, now expecting a baby

Actor Ranbir Kapoor is currently in Chennai to promote his upcoming movie, Brahmastra with Nagarjuna and filmmaker SS Rajamouli. The actor even attended a press event where Ranbir was seen interacting with the media. During the media interaction, the Shamshera actor revealed how the makers took a long time to make Brahmastra.

In the course, Ranbir Kapoor joked that it took so much time that his romance with now-wife Alia Bhatt started on the sets to now expecting a baby. Kapoor was heard saying, “Somebody who I met on this film, our romance started with this film. By the time the film got over, we are married and expecting a baby. So, you can imagine how long this journey has been.” LoL. For the unversed, Brahmastra took more than four years to complete.

It kept getting delayed due to VFX work while the other reason was the COVID-19 pandemic. After working on it for several years, the makers of Brahmastra finally wrapped up the shoot and is all set to hit the big screens on September 9.

Moreover, in the same event, Ranbir Kapoor apologised after he made the ‘phailoed’ comment on his pregnant wife Alia Bhatt. He mentioned that he has a bad sense of humour and often falls flat on him. The actor added, “So I want to say sorry to people who got offended or triggered. I spoke to Alia about it and she really laughed it off and she didn’t mind it. But I do have a bad sense of humour and sometimes it falls flat on my own face. So I am sorry if I have hurt anyone about it.”

Apart from Ranbir Kapoor, Brahmastra also stars Alia Bhatt, Nagarjuna, Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy. Shah Rukh Khan will be seen playing a cameo in the astraverse.
