BREAKING: Ranbir Kapoor set to play antagonist for first time as birthday boy gets roped in for Dhoom 4- Report

Actor Ranbir Kapoor who is celebrating his 42nd birthday today has reportedly been roped in for the Dhoom franchise. Yes, you read that right. According to Pinkvilla’s report, Ranbir who has always been interested in being a part of Dhoom 4 has bagged the lead role in the hit franchise. According to the source, producer Aditya Chopra feels he is the ideal choice to carry forward the Dhoom legacy. Ranbir Kapoor has never played a negative role in his career and Dhoom 4 would be his first.

Given that the Dhoom franchise is dear to Aditya Chopra, he has decided to reboot the franchise keeping in line with the current times. Dhoom Reloaded) will also be developed by Aditya Chopra and Vijay Krishna Acharya. The idea and vision is to create a cinematic experience like never before with the fourth Dhoom film.

“The discussions with Ranbir have been going on for the longest time. He had always shown interest to be a part of Dhoom 4 on hearing the basic idea and is now finally confirmed to lead the franchise. Adi Chopra feels that RK is the ideal choice to carry forward the Dhoom legacy,” added the source.

Dhoom has never repeated its villain and the makers follow the same suit for the fourth instalment too. “Two big heroes from the younger generation will come on board to play the duo of cop buddies in Dhoom 4. Now that the core storyboard is locked, the team will proceed to the casting stage. Dhoom 4 will not just be the biggest Dhoom film, but also a tentpole feature film of global standard from Indian Cinema,” the source informed.

The report further mentioned that Dhoom 4 will be the 25th film of Ranbir Kapoor’s career. The Animal actor is all excited to make his silver jubilee project special. After Dhoom 4, he will shoot for Animal Park. Kapoor also Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayan.
