Ranbir Kapoor shares the story behind his phone wallpaper of late father Rishi Kapoor

Actor Ranbir Kapoor shared an extremely close bond with his late father, actor Rishi Kapoor. Some days back, a photo of Ranbir’s phone wallpaper made it to the internet. Netizens got emotional after catching a glimpse of Rishi Kapoor on Ranbir’s phone wallpaper. Ranbir Kapoor had a heart-warming picture of Rishi Kapoor on his phone wallpaper. The Brahmastra actor got emotional and shared the story behind his phone wallpaper. He opened up about the beautiful moment with Rishi Kapoor Ji and shared details about it.

Speaking with India Today, the Animal actor shared that the wallpaper of his phone is a photo that his late father had shared with him. Ranbir revealed that the photo on his phone wallpaper was of Rishi Kapoor when he was travelling back home from Mauritius. The Shamshera actor recalled the sweet memory and mentioned how Rishi Kapoor told him “I am proud of you.”

Ranbir said, “The wallpaper of my phone is a picture that he [Rishi Kapoor] sent me when he was travelling back from Maruitius. He was having a drink on the flight. He did cheers to me and said ‘I am proud of you’.”

For the unversed, paparazzi and netizens spotted Rishi Kapoor’s wallpaper on Ranbir’s phone when the actor was clicked with his girlfriend, actress Alia Bhatt, at the airport. The couple was headed out of the city.

Meanwhile, Ranbir is currently busy promoting his father’s last movie, titled Sharmaji Namkeen. The movie features Rishi Kapoor, Paresh Rawal and Juhi Chawla. Sharmaji Namkeen is scheduled to release on April 1, on Amazon Prime Video. Ahead of the release of Sharmaji Namkeen, Ranbir, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Aadar Jain and several others paid a music tribute to late Rishi Kapoor.
