Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal has been one of the most awaited films of 2023 and its release date has been in news quite a lot. Especially recently, the rumour mills got abuzz with a postponement news. The reason was said to be to avoid the three-way clash with Gadar 2 and OMG 2. Now, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has confirmed a new release date and explained the reason behind it.
Animal gets a new RELEASE DATE
The dark and gritty drama between a father-son duo was earlier supposed to release on August 11, 2023. However, now the film will be releasing theatrically on December 1, 2023. The director made the news official on social media by sharing a video. He also explained the reason behind postponing the film.
Sandeep revealed that the delay has occurred due to the post-production work. The revised release date comes with a promise of the best quality cinematic grandeur with richer content. He explained that the film has 7 songs and each song has to be made in 5 languages as the film is a pan-India release. Thus, to avoid any compromise on the quality of the product, the makers decided to push the release.
This additional time will allow the team to further refine and fine-tune the content. It will ensure that every aspect of the film meets the highest standards of excellence. The director also thanked fans for the amazing response to Animal teaser. He asserted that it is indeed a part of the film and not just a promotional asset.
It clarifies the makers’ stand that the postponement is not because of the three-way clash. Ranbir was the first one to lock the August 11 release date for Animal. Then Sunny Deol announced Gadar 2 and recently Akshay Kumar took the same date for OMG 2.
