Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal Park script ready, shoot to begin next year

Hemled by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Animal was released in December 2023 and performed well at the box-office. Makers are now gearing up for sequel and the shoot will begin next year.

Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal turned out to be a huge box office hit with a whooping collection of over Rs 900 crores globally. After the success, makers confirmed the sequel titled Animal Park and the audience already can’t wait for it. Well, an exciting update regarding the franchise has surfaced and if reports are to be believed, the script of Animal Park is ready and Ranbir Kapoor will start shooting for it next year.

If a report by Mid Day is to be believed, Animal Park will focus on Ranvijay’s (Ranbir Kapoor’s character) clash with his lookalike and relationship with his wife and son. “Animal Park’s basic structure was ready right when Animal [2023] was written. It was meant to be a multi-film outing. The second part will focus on Ranbir’s character Ranvijay and his lookalike. The domestic feud between the protagonist and his wife Geetanjali will be taken forward, as will his relationship with his son,” a source close to the movie said.

“The idea is that while Sandeep shoots Spirit, he will take monthly updates on the script primarily being written by Pranay Vanga. He will actively work with the writers only in the second half of 2024,” the insider added.

Animal, released on December 1, 2023, portrayed Ranbir Kapoor as Ranijay, an anti-hero entangled in a toxic relationship with his emotionally distant father, played by Anil Kapoor. Besides Ranbir and Anil, the film also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Bobby Deol in the lead.
