Ranbir Kapoor starrer Ramayana faces legal trouble due to dispute over property rights- Reports

The magnum opus Ramayana starring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi is the most awaited movie ever. The movie has garnered good responses from everywhere, all thanks to the stellar star cast boasting actors like Ranbir, Sai Pallavi and Yash. The movie is directed by Nitesh Tiwari who has previously helmed Chhichhore and Dangal. Amidst all the buzz, the latest report suggested that Ramayana has landed into legal trouble due to disputes over property rights.

According to a Money Control report, Ramayana’s production house Allu Mantena Media Ventures LLP and Prime Focus Technologies Limited are disputing over the rights of the title ‘Project Ramayana’. The report mentioned that the makers had negotiated for the same in April 2024. However, they failed to acquire the intellectual property rights due to incomplete payment.

Ramayana on facing legal troubles

“Allu Mantena Media Ventures LLP claims that the rights to ‘Project Ramayana’ continue to belong to them, and any use or exploitation of the script or material by Prime Focus Technologies Limited or any affiliated entities would constitute an infringement of their copyright. The notice also states that Prime Focus Technologies Limited has no right, title, or interest in the ‘Project Ramayana’ material. The production company has expressed its intention to take legal action to protect its rights if necessary,” the report stated. Nevertheless, it is to be seen if there will be a delay in shooting the movie.

Leaked pictures from Ramayana sets go viral

Zoom TV released the first pictures of Ranbir and Sai Pallavi from the Ramayana set some days back. And they looked divine by all means. In the pictures, both Ranbir and Sai were decked up in godly attires while filming a scene on the sets.
