Ranbir Kapoor to have a cameo in Vicky Kaushal starrer Govinda Naam Mera?

Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor is basking in the accolades of his last release Brahmastra. The Ayan Mukerji sci-fi superhero saga went on to mint at the box office. Fans are now awaiting his next releases. But here is some good news for Ranbir Kapoor fans, reportedly he will soon be seen making a special appearance in Vicky Kaushal starrer Govinda Naam Mera.

As reported by sources to Bollywood Hungama, “Ranbir Kapoor will be appearing in a cameo in Dharma Productions’ upcoming film, ‘Govinda Naam Mera’. The actor will be making an appearance in the song ‘Bijli,’ which is a dance number featuring Kiara Advani and Vicky Kaushal. While the song has already been released online, the makers have not shown Ranbir’s special cameo to avoid spoilers for his fans.”

This is not the first time that Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal will be sharing screen space. They earlier came together for Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘Sanju’. Ranbir also made a cameo appearance in Love Per Square Foot in 2018, when Vicky was relatively new.

Govinda Naam Mera also features Bhumi Pednekar in the lead. The comedy thriller is written and directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Shashank Khaitan under the banner Dharma Productions, in association with Viacom18 Studios. The movie will premiere on 16 December 2022 on Disney+Hotstar.

On the work front, Ranbir Kapoor has Sandeep Reddy Venga’s Animal in his kitty. The movie also features Rashmika Mandanna and Anil Kapoor in pivotal roles. He also has a Luv Ranjan romantic drama co-starring Shraddha Kapoor in his kitty. Ranbir also has Brahmastra: Part 2 Dev.

Whereas Vicky Kaushal will also be seen in Meghana Gulzar’s Sam Bahadur co-starring Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra. He also has Laxman Utekar’s untitled film with Sara Ali Khan.
