Ranbir Kapoor turns protective for Waheeda Rehman as paps swam her for pictures at 69th National Film Awards- WATCH

The 69^th National Film Awards took place in Delhi on Tuesday. Several celebrities including Alia Bhatt, Allu Arjun, Kriti Sanon, and SS Rajamouli among others took home the prestigious award. Ranbir Kapoor had accompanied wife Alia and was her biggest cheerleader. In one of the videos that is now going viral from the event, Ranbir Kapoor turned protective for Waheeda Rehman as paparazzi surrounded her to click her pictures. Ranbir asked paps to be careful. For the uninitiated, Waheeda Rehman received the Dadasaheb Phalke Lifetime Achievement Award.

In the video shared by a paparazzo on Instagram, Ranbir can be seen requesting paps to be careful around Waheeda ji. A photographer can also be heard saying, “Arey yar dhakka mukki, table aage jara hai yaar, kya kar rahe ho aap log (Why are you pushing, the table is moving, what are you doing?).”

Ranbir wins hearts with his sweet gesture

Ranbir’s kind gesture towards Waheeda ji won hearts. A fan dropped a comment saying, “Such a gentleman.” Another fan commented, “Ranbir is cute.” “He is doing what is father used to,” wrote a fan. Another fan commented, “Handsome Kapoor.” Another one commented, “He is asking media to be careful because Waheeda ji is there… Unko chot lag sakti hai.”

Ranbir had accompanied Alia to the National Film Awards ceremony. Alia received her Best Actress award for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi from President Droupadi Murmu. It was special as this was Alia’s first National Film Award. After the event, Alia shared photos on her Instagram. In one of the photos, Alia posed with husband Ranbir. She captioned her post saying, “A photo, a moment, a memory for life.”

On the work front, Alia has Vasan Balan’s Jigra. Apart from starring in it, she is also co-producing the film. Talking about Ranbir, he has Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal, co-starring Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol. Animal will release on 1^st December, 2023.
