Ranbir Kapoor’s Director faces jail term

Anurag Kashyap the director of Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Bombay Velvet’ is facing 7 year jail term on accusation of evading Service Tax of around Rs.55 lakh that he was supposed to pay last year.

As per source, Anurag who was in Sri Lanka shooting for Bombay Velvet with Ranbir Kapoor was summoned to appear before the Service Tax Commission on August 27.  As he could not make it back on time his bank accounts were sealed and was asked to appear before the court on Sept 3.

At present Ranbir Kapoor and Karan Johar are in Sri Lanka shooting for the movie that is already over budget and this legal tangle can cause a further rise in budget.
