Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Gully Boy’ was India’s official entry to the 92nd Academy Awards, under the category of  Best International Feature Film. However, the film is now out of the Oscar race as it failed to make it to the shortlisted nominees.
Now Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli Chandel has called Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Gully Boy’ a copy. Chandel said that ‘Gully Boy’ is not original movies like Vicky Kaushal starrer ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ or her sister Kangana Ranaut starrer ‘Manikarnika’. She said there is no way that Hollywood will give an award to a film which is a copy.
In her post, Chandel wrote, “This film is based on Hollywood film ‘8 Mile’, yahan ke movie mafia chatukar critics ke chaatne se kya hota hai, it’s not original content like Uri and Manikarnika, why Hollywood will give award to a film which is copied from their film? (sic).”

Kangana and her sister Rangoli have always been vocal about nepotism prevailing in Bollywood. And they have never shied away from bashing the star kids. We wonder what Alia Bhatt or Zoya Akhtar has to say about this now.
