‘Nepotism’ is one word that has been blown out of proportion, thanks to Bollywood. Kangana Ranaut made this word famous on Karan Johar’s show by calling him the ‘flag bearer of Nepotism’ and it was then all that we have heard is how the term has deep roots in Bollywood. KJo once again picked up on this topic and joked about it at IIFA. Critics once again slammed him left, right and centre for his jokes and picking up on Kangana. But out of nowhere Apurva Asrani barged in and tweeted something about Kangana Ranaut and nepotism. He blamed Kangana for being nepotist as she has hired her own sister as her manager and is ‘apparently’ promoting her brother so that he can venture into films. He tweeted, “I hired my brother as addnl writer on my new film. #Kangana hired her sister as manager & now promotes her brother. All guilty of #nepotism?” [sic]
Soon, Kangana’s sister Rangoli took to her Twitter handle to bash him for his comments. Rangoli went on to say that Kangana helped her in her worst. We are aware of the acid attack that Rangoli braced and it was only Kangana who stood by her and helped her. She posted series of tweets expressing her anger over Apurva Asrani’s tweet. Okay then! It’s high time that we let ‘NEPOTISM’ rest in peace. Karan has apologised already for his acts and has stated that he would not comment on Kangana anymore. So, rest in peace, nepotism!
