‘Rangoon’: Shahid Kapoor opens up on the worst part about kissing Kangana Ranaut

Filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj brought three power-house performers – Shahid Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Kangana Ranaut – together in his period war drama ‘Rangoon’. The film failed to live up to everyone’s expectations. However, people did like Shahid and Kangana’s chemistry in it.

Shahid is now gearing up for the release of his upcoming film ‘Kabir Singh‘. The actor recently appeared on Neha Dhupia’s show along with her ‘Kabir Singh’ co-star Kiara Advani. On the show, host Neha Dhupia asked Shahid about a range of things. She even asked him what was the worst part of making out with Kangana Ranaut in mud (keechad). And Shahid finally revealed it.

Opening up on the specific scene from ‘Rangoon’, Shahid said, “That’s a really random question! Really random memories… Kuch yaad hi nahi aa raha hai. Blank ho gaya hoon main, yaar. If it was in the keechad, it was keechad-y.”

Interestingly, when Kangana was asked about kissing Shahid during ‘Rangoon’s promotion, she had said, “Shahid’s moustache was horrible and kissing it would be disgusting. Then he would keep telling me that he has a runny nose which helps it to stick.” 

Hahaha… looks like these two do share some not-so-great memories of working in ‘Rangoon’. Shahid’s ‘Kabir Singh’ was all set to clash with Kangana’s ‘Mental Hai Kya’. However, the release date of the latter film got pushed and now their clash is averted.

‘Kabir Singh’ will hit the marquee on June 21. Whereas ‘Mental Hai Kya’ will be releasing on July 26.
