Rani Mukerji is one of the most versatile actors in Bollywood. Rani has proved her mettle as an artist with various projects like Hichki, Mardaani, and Mardaani 2 among others. Now, Rani is all set to deliver a terrific performance in her upcoming film Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway. Rani’s upcoming film tells the story of an immigrant Indian mother’s battle against the Norwegian foster care system and local legal machinery to win back the custody of her children.
Rani talks about her mother’s support
Ahead of the film’s release, Rani sat down for an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble and opened up about her mother’s support. Rani got candid as she shared, “I think even in this film (Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway) what primarily you understand is that mothers are around us all the time without us even knowing about it. They are there in our subconscious, and they are giving us the strength which we might not particularly understand it because they are there and we take them for granted most of the time because they are always there for us. But in times when they are not around us is when we understand the void and the pain.”

Rani added, “For me, my mother has been one such character who has been with me right from childhood. I don’t remember a single day that I must’ve had without her in my life whether it’s even after marriage, even after me having Adira. My day starts with talking to my mom on the phone and that’s the first call I make. And that is what keeps me grounded the entire day, that is what keeps me going the entire day because for me it is important for me to know that she’s doing well.”
The actress went on to add, “We have chats, we have our laughs, we have our gossip session and it’s the adda. Now because of my life which is very different from what it was before I got married and before I had a child, mum and dad were always there for me. It was never that I had to take an appointment to be with them. So, that is how we Indians are raised. Our parents are always there.”
Rani shares a close bond with her mother Krishna. On the other hand, Rani is a mother herself. The actress got married to filmmaker Aditya Chopra on April 21, 2014. Aditya and Rani are proud parents to a baby girl named Adira.
