Karan Johar is making a comeback after seven long years of hiatus. The director is currently gearing up for his upcoming movie Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. All excited for the release, Karan shared a picture with Rani Mukerji on his Instagram story which made fans wonder whether she has a cameo.

Karan Johar might have dropped a major hint

Rocky aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani stars Alia Bhatt as Rani and Ranveer Singh as Rocky. Ahead of the release of the teaser, Karan Johar took to his Instagram story on Saturday and share a photo with Rani Mukerji. Karan and Rani are sitting in a park with their back towards each other, happily posing for the camera. They radiate nothing but stylish best-friend supremacy.

Rani wore a light blue outfit with deep red lips while Karan is seen in black trousers and a t-shirt. They both wore glasses. The director captioned the photo, “Rani Mukerji are you ready for Rani Chatterjee???#rockyaurranikipremkahani.”

This image has left fans speculating that Rani Mukerji might have a role to play in the movie. Karan Johar and Rani Mukerji go way back as friends and co-workers. Karan made his directorial debut with Kuch Kuch Hota Hai in 1998. The movie starred Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji and Kajol.

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani Teaser to be out soon

The teaser for Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is said to be out soon on June 20. Karan took it to his Instagram to share a post indicating that the teaser will be out soon, he wrote, “After 7 years… back in the directors chair…I am excited , nervous and yet so happy to begin the last lap of our prem kahani…Watch this space for the teaser ….coming super soon with all our love to you …. #rockyaurranikiipremkahaani.”

About the movie Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani

This movie marks the comeback of Karan Johar after seven years. He last directed the movie Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani also signifies celebrating Karan Johar completing 25 years in Bollywood as a director. Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh have previously worked together in Gully Boy. Now, again they are set to take the silver screen by storm.

Apart from Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh, the movie boasts a stellar cast. It stars veteran actors Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi. The movie is slated to hit theatres on 28 July 2023.
