‘Gully Boy’ LEAKED: Ranveer Singh-Alia Bhatt starrer falls prey to piracy

Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Gully Boy’, starring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh, was released on Valentine’s Day. The Ranveer Singh starrer has already garnered positive word-of-mouth and on the very first day, the film earned over Rs. 18 crores. It’s barely been a day since ‘Gully Boy’ released and it has already become a victim of piracy.

The film ‘Gully Boy’ is about Murad (Ranveer), a rapper from the slums of Mumbai, who wants to rise above his socio-economic status to become a star. Despite being discouraged over and over again, he manages to take the underground rap scene by storm. Notably, the film is inspired by the life of street rappers Divine and Naezy. Produced by Tiger Baby Productions and Excel Entertainment, ‘Gully Boy’ also features Vijay Raaz and Amruta Subhash in pivotal roles.

Unfortunately, Ranveer Singh starrer has been leaked online by the notorious piracy site TamilRockers. The whole version of the film has been made available for download for users.

It is to be noted that TamilRockers is infamous for leaking films online. Films like ‘Petta’, ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’, ‘Aquaman’, ‘Thackeray’ and ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’ have been recent victims of piracy.

While the Producers Guild down South has been fighting a long battle against TamilRockers, the Madras High Court had put a ban on 12000 sites to stop piracy. However, among 12000 websites, TamilRockers had access to 2000 of them.
