Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani song shoot gets postponed

Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt are all to return to the silver screen together after their unforgettable performance in Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy. Ranveer and Alia will be seen next in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani but looks like the shoot has hit a screeching halt. As per reports, Alia and Ranveer were all set to film a song of the movie but due to the current Covid-19 situation, the schedule has been postponed.

As per a report by ETimes, a set was built at Reliance in Film City for January 10 for Alia and Ranveer. The duo was to film a big number for Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani but the workers were reportedly said to put a stop to the work. This is because of the current Covid wave which is spreading like wildfire along with the rise in the cases of the Omicron variant.

The report further said that sources have revealed Karan Johar did not want to take any risks or chances with the situation, he has ‘decided it is better to be safe than sorry.’ But the set which was built for the song will not be dismantled yet. As soon as the situation settles, the cast and crew will get back.

Meanwhile, apart from Alia and Ranveer, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani also stars Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi in pivotal roles.
