Ranveer Singh claims a photo was ‘morphed and tampered’ as he records statement in his bold photoshoot case

Ranveer Singh is known to have a unique lifestyle of his own, and it has been inspiring to see how he leads life on his own terms. His energy has always been contagious and people love him for his aura, but it has also proved to be challenging at times for the actor. Recently, when Ranveer did a nude photoshoot for a magazine, the nation was in awe of him and appreciated him for making this move, but there was also a certain section that were offended by the actor’s bold stance.

A case was filed against Ranveer Singh for obscenity under Sections 292, and 294 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and 509 and 67(A) of the Information Technology (IT) Act and an FIR was lodged against him. The actor has now recorded his statement in the case with Mumbai Police and in it, he has claimed that one of his photos were tampered with and morphed.

ANI released a tweet regarding the same saying, “Mumbai Police recorded the statement of actor Ranveer Singh in the nude photoshoot case on Aug 29. As per information accessed now, the actor in his statement has claimed that someone has tampered with and morphed one of the photos of the actor. (sic)”.

The actor was summoned to present before the police on August 22, but he couldn’t do it that time and thus, on August 29, he appeared before the Mumbai Police to record his statement. As per reports, the actor maintained that he had not uploaded the controversial photos in his statement.
