VIDEO: Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone groove to Diljit Dosanjh’s Lover at 83 party

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have been creating a massive buzz these days courtesy of their upcoming sports-drama film, ’83.’ On Wednesday, the makers organized a star-studded grand premiere of the film in Mumbai. After which, an after-party was hosted, now, a video of Ranveer and Deepika aka DeepVeer as their fans call them were seen grooving to Diljit Dosanjh’s popular track, ‘Lover.’

In the video, Deepika was seen wearing a pair of denim which she paired with a black sequin top, while her husband Ranveer donned the same outfit he wore for the premiere night. We can also see other cast members from the film, such as Harrdy Sandhu and Sahil Khattar dancing their hearts out!

Ranveer and Deepika were also seen dancing to Badshah’s track ‘Jugnu.’ In another video,  Deepika was seen shaking a leg with her 83 co-star and Punjabi singer Harrdy Sandhu. The singer was seen teaching the hook step to Padukone of his recent hit track ‘Bijlee Bijlee.’

The premiere of ’83’ was attended by several cricketers, Alia Bhatt, Vaani Kapoor, Ayushmann Khurrana, Tahira Kashyap, Karan Johar, Janhvi Kapoor, Ayan Mukerjee, Huma Qureshi, Nora Fatehi, Ranveer Singh’s family, and Deepika Padukone’s family among others.

Meanwhile, ’83’ will mark Deepika and Ranveer’s first collaboration post their wedding in 2018.

The plot of the film is based on the story of the 1983 World Cup victory of the Indian cricket team,  produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson production.

The film stars Ranveer as cricketer Kapil Dev, along with Deepika Padukone, who plays the role of his wife Romi Dev. It also features Jiiva, Pankaj Tripathi, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saqib Saleem, Jatin Sarna, Chirag Patil, Dinker Sharma, Nishant Dahiya, Harrdy Sandhu, Sahil Khattar, Ammy Virk, Adinath Kothare, Dhairya Karwa, and R Badree in the lead roles.

It is slated for theatrical release on 24 December 2021.
