Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone’s kiss was different than ours: ‘Malaal’ actors Meezaan and Sharmin Segal

We all remember the iconic shot of Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone kissing Sanjay Leela Bhansali on stage during the trailer launch of ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram Leela’ back in 2013. The same was repeated by the actors of ‘Malaal’ – Sharmin Segal and Meezaan. So was that intentional? Or did it just happen in the spur of the moment?

Speaking to Bollywood Bubble, the two young stars opened up saying that their kiss was different from Ranveer and Deepika’s. Sharmin opened up saying, “If you see the kiss of Ranveer-Deepika’s and our, there’s loads of differences. If you go back and see the video you will see that we both have pretty much attacked Sanjay Leela Bhansali from both sides. Deepika and Ranveer did it very smoothly and calmly.”

Sharmin went on to say, “I think it was just the overwhelming emotions after watching the trailer and Sanjay sir crying, which prompted our impromptu kiss. It was a surreal moment.” Well, that was nicely put.

‘Malaal’ has been getting sort of mixed reviews from people all over. While many have hailed the film as a great piece of work, there have been many who have said that it could have been much better. Some have complained about the movie being a bit boring.

The film has not opened up to huge box-office numbers at the ticket windows and it will have to really pump up its game in the days to come to end up at a decent total. After all, the coming Friday will have Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Super 30’ releasing.
