Say What! Ranveer Singh’s dad slammed him for spending too much on flowers for Deepika Padukone

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are spending their lockdown days together and they are making sure that they are giving all their fans some couple goals. So what did they do recently? Well, Ranveer went on a live chat with ace footballer Sunil Chhetri and spilt some beans about how things have been going on with him and Deepika ever since the two got hitched.

Ranveer while talking to Sunil opened up on how he has managed to impress Deepika with the help of flowers. Ranveer said, “I was very sure that I wanted to marry this girl (Deepika) in six months of being in a relationship with her. I knew she loves flowers, lilies in particular. I wanted her to be mine for life. I was very diligent in wooing her. So, every time she would come, there would be flowers.”

Ranveer went on to further add that his father once questioned him about the huge amount of money he spent on flowers. Ranveer said, “I would also make short trips if she (Deepika) was shooting somewhere else. I remember my father once turned around and said, ‘do you realise how much money you are spending on flowers?’ and I replied, ‘Laxmi ke avatar me chappar faad ke aayenge (she’ll be an avatar of godess Laxmi and money will rain on us).’ I used to feel that she is way away from my league. So, I did everything during the courting period.”

Well, the two have been doing such adorable cutesy things during this Coronavirus lockdown that we just can’t get enough. They have been taking digs at each other in a funny way as well, and always are trying to bring a smile to the faces of millions of their fans via social media.

On the work front, Deepika and Ranveer will soon be seen in ’83’. Then Deepika has Shakun Batra’s film with Siddhart Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday after which she also has the Indian remake of ‘The Intern’ with Rishi Kapoor.

Ranveer, apart from ’83’ also has ‘Sooryavanshi’ coming up. He will after that get busy with ‘Takht’. Let’s wait and watch whether he announces any more projects in the middle or not.
