Ranveer Singh is his own man. The ‘Bajirao Mastani’ actor likes to live his life to the fullest and is a free spirit. Ranveer is currently busy promoting his next venture ‘Gully Boy’ and has had a bumper 2018 with ‘Padmaavat’ and ‘Simmba’s grand success.
Now, Ranveer Singh in an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble talked about his next venture ‘Gully Boy’. Ranveer was asked about the trend of making remixes and rehashed versions of old songs and Ranveer said, ”There is nothing wrong with the remix culture. I have also benefitted with ‘Aankh Marey’ (‘Simmba’) and it was one of my biggest hits. It is entertainment and Tanishq Bagchi (music composer) has done a great job. But, at the same time, they (remix versions) need to co-exist with original music.”
There is a big debate going around with many experts and thinkers feeling that filmmakers are devaluing and degrading old classics by rehashing them. Ranveer Singh is totally right that there has to be a balance and at the end of the day, viewers want to be entertained.
‘Gully Boy’ also stars Alia Bhatt, Vijay Raaz and Kalki Koechlin in lead roles. This rapping extravaganza has been directed by Zoya Akhtar. ‘Gully Boy’ is scheduled to hit theatres on February 14.
