Ranveer Singh recalls his ‘surreal’ first day shoot with Dharmendra for Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani

Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh are currently busy promoting their upcoming film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. The Karan Johar directorial also stars Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi. During a recent promotional event, Ranveer Singh spilled the beans on working with legendary actor Dharmendra in RARKPK. The actor shared an anecdote from the first day he shot with Dharmendra.

Ranveer Singh spills the beans on working with Dharmendra

As quoted by Pinkvilla, Ranveer said, “I definitely had a moment on the first day I shot with Dharam ji. I was taking my moment before the scene started, it was a face-to-face shot with him, I was just processing the scene, and they said roll, camera and I looked up to begin the performance and that’s where it hit me, and I was like Ohh my God!!”

The actor added, “It was Dhamendra and I had to very quickly collect myself and perform because action has been called, but I definitely had a moment, it was very very surreal to be sharing screen space with such a legend of our cinema. A huge deal for me, I’ve grown up watching him, so it was like straight out of your fantasy.”

Furthermore, he went on to call Dharam ji ‘walking talking ball of love and emotional’. “What a great honour, what a great privilege and what a wonderful thing to have collaborated with such a fine artist,” he added.

On Tuesday, RARKPK makers dropped the third song Ve Kamleya from the upcoming film. The romantic song is sung by Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal.

Earlier, the makers treated fans with two songs Tum Kya Mile and What Jhumka from Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani also stars Tota Roy Cgowdhury, Churni Ganguly, Namit Das, Aamir Bashir, Kshitee Jog, and Anjali Anand. It is slated to release on 28^th July, 2023.
