Ranveer Singh’s latest film, Jayesbhai Jordaar, hit the theatres on May 13. Though the movie got mixed reviews, Ranveer is being lauded for his performance as a father in the Divyang Thakkar directorial. During the promotional spree of Jayesbhai Jordaar, Ranveer sat with us and spoke about his movie, his wife Deepika Padukone, his family’s tough times and a lot more. Singh was also asked how he deals with the casual sexism that his wife has to battle on a daily basis.
In the exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Ranveer said, “We know that this is prevalent in society but one needs to look at the upside which is a fact that things are changing. Now you have situation in society where you have things like social media. You can’t get away with anything. People will call you out and it’s a really good thing. Like, the MeToo movement was made possible through social media. People connecting with each other, sharing stories, making public instances where they have been wronged. So, I think things are looking up and we have come a long way as a society.”
