Ranveer Singh breaks his silence and has THIS to say on ‘Ram Lakhan’

Ranveer Singh is all over the news and the past 2-3 months have been very hectic and tiresome for this macho actor. Just over a month back, Ranveer married the love of his life Deepika Padukone in a romantic and intimate ceremony in Italy’s Lake Como. After the marriage, the couple got busy with reception parties and now the actor is waiting for ‘Simmba’s release.

Remember, there were reports of Rohit Shetty remaking ‘Ram Lakhan’ and Ranveer was supposed to portray the character of Lakhan. But due to some issues, the project got delayed and Rohit Shetty issued a statement regarding this project.

According to a report in Koimoi, Rohit had said, “No, the ‘Ram Lakhan’ remake is not happening. Two stars don’t want to work together, they just want to promote each other’s films. This young lot, they will tweet for each other, but they will not work with each other. The last lot to work together is Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar or Abhishek Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan. But the new lot won’t work with each other, I don’t know why they are insecure about each other? So, now we have just kept it aside. I guess we will have to make it again with Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff.”

Now, Ranveer Singh has also broken his silence and said, “I was never offered ‘Ram Lakhan’. No, I was actually (laughs). I guess I was ready to do Lakhan and I don’t know what happened about that. It was a long time ago. That was the film that Karan sir and Rohit sir were supposed to make together.”

Ranveer also dismissed the notion that he has issues working in a multi-starrer or ensemble projects. The 33-year -old actor has done films like ‘Gunday’ and ‘Kill Dil’ in the past. Now, coming back to ‘Simmba’, it is releasing on December 28. This has been a dream year for Ranveer Singh starting with ‘Padmaavat’ and ending it by marrying Deepika.
