Ranveer Singh goes back to rapping for Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani song What Jhumka

In just his second year in the film industry, Ranveer Singh introduced the audience to another talent of his, rapping. Post that, it took him over 7 years to show that talent again on screen. But this time, he was living the character of a rapper in Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy. Fortunately, the audience didn’t have to wait as long for Ranveer’s third rap stint. The actor has got back to it for Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.

Ranveer Singh raps for What Jhumka

On Wednesday, Karan Johar unveiled the new song from Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani titled What Jhumka. The song features Ranveer and Alia Bhatt and it depicts the playful teasing in their relationship. It presents a fresh take on the iconic song Jhumka Gira Re and Ranveer and Alia’s chemistry and energy makes it so exciting.

For someone who has just watched the music video until now, they wouldn’t have got a big surprise. What makes the song special is that Ranveer has rapped up a verse for the song which is only available in the song’s audio as of now. The rap verse is a very flirtatious one and Ranveer has proven yet again that he is a man of many talents. It just makes the peppy track all the more groovy.

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani release date

The curiosity and excitement for RARKPK is increasing day by day as it inches closer to release. Apart from Alia and Ranveer, this Karan Johar directorial also features Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi and Jaya Bachchan. The trailer of the film released earlier this month garnering a lot of love and appreciation. The film’s music hit the top of the charts with Tum Kya Mile. Now, What Jhumka has made the soundtrack even more exciting. RARKPK has a theatrical release date of July 28, 2023.
