Ranveer Singh recalls being ‘anxious’ about his ‘risky’ Dola Re Dola sequence with Tota Roy Chowdhury in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani

Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is receiving positive response ever since its release. Be it the music, Ranveer-Alia’s chemistry, or the social message, every aspect about the film is praised by the audience. One of the significant highlight of RARKPK movie was the ‘Dola Re Dola’ dance sequence between Ranveer Singh and Tota Roy Chowdhary. During the press conference of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani held in the city, Ranveer revealed how he had to uncondition his body to effortlessly perform Kathak.

The actor shared, “Well, in the initial days of rehearsel in was a bit anxious because I have got a lot of muscle mass(chuckles). It was very difficult in the initial days as one had to uncondition one’s body for the grace of Kathak to come in. But I was getting reports that Tota sir is killing it in Kolkata. Tota Sir was on it for hours a day putting in the sweat and work. While he was doing it in Kolkata, I was in Mumbai.”

He further continued, “But I knew at the back of my mind that we are safe and secure because we were choreographed by Vaibhavi ma’am. And she is an absolute stickler for excellence. She makes sure she gets what she expects. So all credit to her and the choreography team who really put us through the paces till last hour. I am so thrilled with the reaction towards that moment. I have been in the cinema halls personally to witness that and it is the most euphoric fulfilling and joyous feeling to see audience reaction to that.”
