Ranveer Singh, one of the most sought out actors of Bollywood has recently jetted off to attend the Marrakech International Film Festival in Morocco. The Padmaavat star was honoured with the Etoile d’Or award at the prestigious event.
During a media interaction there, Ranveer Singh opened up on his Bollywood journey and also addressed the topic of casting couch.
As quoted by international magazine Deadline, Ranveer Singh recalling his ordeal with the casting couch said, “This guy calls me to this seedy place and is like, ‘Are you a hard worker, or a smart worker?’. I didn’t consider myself to be smart, so I said: ‘I think I’m a hard worker.’ He was like, ‘Darling, be smart, be sexy’. I had all those kinds of experiences during those three-and-a-half years, and I think it was that period that makes me value the opportunities I have now.”
The Gully Boy star further revealed that a prominent producer invited him over for a private party and unleashed his dog on Ranveer, just to entertain his guests.

On the work front, Ranveeer Singh has Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus, an adaptation of Shakespeare’s play The Comedy Of Errors. He will also star in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, co-starring Alia Bhatt. The movie also features veteran actors Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi and Jaya Bachchan in pivotal roles.
