Bollywood’s power couple, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone recently attended an NRI convention in California which was hosted by the Konkani community of the area. A small clip from the event is going viral where Ranveer is heard revealing why he wants to learn Deepika’s mother tongue. Well, the reason is just too cute for words as it has the connection of their future kids.

In a video shared online from the event, Ranveer can be heard saying that he wants to learn Konkani because he doesn’t want Deepika to be talking to their future kids in her language without him understanding it. The Padmaavat actor said, “I am in a position where I can understand all of Konkani seamlessly but there is a reason behind this, it’s because when we do have children I don’t want their mother to speak to them in Konkani about me without me understanding.

Deepika then adds saying that she was elated to see Ranveer’s interest in the language but then realised he wants to know the language so that she doesn’t turn their kids against them. LoL, now, isn’t that really sweet?

So he came up to me one day and said, ‘You know baby I want to learn Konkani’ and I was like ‘Oh nice, that’s really sweet’,” she added. “Then it later came out in a conversation that it wasn’t about him wanting to learn Konkani, he wanted to learn it so that I don’t turn our kids against him,” the Gehraiyaan actor said.

Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone got married to each other in November 2018 in Italy. They exchanged their vows in both, Konkani and Sindhi styles.
