Ranveer Singh records a statement, says he had no idea the controversial pics would cause him trouble

Actor Ranveer Singh has reportedly recorded a statement regarding his nude photoshoot that took the internet by storm back in July. For the unversed, Ranveer stripped down for a photo shoot; however, in one of the pictures, he was seen wearing undergarments and still an FIR was lodged against the actor for hurting women’s sentiments and posting naked pictures on social media.

On Monday, Ranveer appeared before the Mumbai Police to record his statement in connection with the FIR registered against him between 7 am and 9.30 am. As per ETimes, the Jayeshbhai Jordaar actor reported that the naked pictures were not uploaded by him on social media, as mentioned by a source close to Mumbai police. Furthermore, the Gully Boy actor said that he didn’t realise that the nude photoshoot would create trouble for him.

After Ranveer Singh became the talk of the town with his naked pictures, he received a lot of support from the industry. Twinkle Khanna penned a long note where she wittily said, “we have only one complaint. Instead of over-exposure, the photographs seem underexposed. Even with spectacles, magnifying glasses and zoom tools, we are unable to spot any anatomical details, just a pool of shadows between two finely muscled legs.”

Meanwhile, Ranveer’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani co-star Alia Bhatt also mentioned that she can’t tolerate such questions and doesn’t like anything negative said about her favourite Ranveer. In fact, on Koffee With Karan 7, during the quirky rapid-fire round, Aamir reacted to Ranveer Singh’s nude photos. Karan Johar questioned Aamir, “Have you seen Ranveer Singh’s nude images and do you like his thirsty photos?” To which the actor replied, “He’s got a great physique. I thought it was quite bold of him.”
